Hi,
I am trying to get hold of a copy of Love on a Saturday night with Davina McCall. I think it was series 1, show 4 with the guessed star Kelli Young.
Can you please let me know how I can get hold of a copy? My friend Antony was on the programme and I want to get him a copy for his 30th birthday as he has never seen it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kind regards

When I was a young child (in the 70’s), a short film was often shown on the television. It was in black and white (probably from the 50’s or 60’s) and ended with someone rowing across a lake
before a loch-ness type monster surfaced (and I think it actually spoke as well). Any ideas? |

Hi. I am trying to remember a kids show from the late 70s/early 80s. It involved children who travelled through time and featured some Victorian scenes. I remember a few kids together who
went back to the past. There were more than 2 kids. There is a scene where they meet a young Victorian girl who tells them her name and she has lots of Christian names. I think she is meant
to be royal or aristocratic. She seems to be having a picnic on her own. One of the boys from the present fancies her and pretends he has lots of Christian names, to try to impress her. Then
he forgets his names, and she thinks he's an idiot! That's all I remember. Anyone?

Hi, I'm trying to remember the name of a two- part thriller that was on
TV, back between 7 - 21 December 1991. It was American, and it was about a
married couple. He was a doctor and was totally sadistic, although his wife
was unaware of this until after they were married. I can remember a scene,
in which she is swimming in a lake and a crocodile appears behind her. Her
husband notices but says nothing and carries on watching until the
crocodile is really close to her, and then tells her to look behind and
swim for her life! There are several incidents like this, of mental, as
well as physical cruelty. However, she doesn't leave him until she
discovers he has been giving their baby small doses of poison (not enough
to kill. but enough to make him very sick) That is when she has to plan to
escape with the baby. I seem to remember it was on-the-edge-of-your-seat
stuff! If anyone knows and can tell me what the title of this movie is, I
would be very grateful! Thanks! |

Hello,
I'm after a documentary series from the 70s where several families tried to live in the way people would have done in a certain period of history. That might have been something like
medieval times, as I think they lived in simple structures, built with wattle and daub, used plant dyes, and used only simple tools etc. I remember a dilemma about whether they should use
modern medicine when one of their children was ill. I'm pretty sure it was a BBC series, but have no idea what it was called.
Thanks,

Im trying to find an early 90’s (possibly 80’s) childrens tv show. Shown on a Saturday (but might have been during the week), I think on channel 4. It was based possibly in an Australian or
American farm town, I know it had a swamp scene though.
If I remember correctly it had a ship that crashed with parts of the ship falling over the area. I remember a camera that appears on a barn that watches over the people of the area and a
scene where the children find a part of the ship in a swamp, the end of the scene is the part sinking itself. I cant remember if these parts were sentient or not. I think the camera was
quite a major part of the story as you kept seeing the view from the camera – with menacing music behind it. |

Hi,
I wondered if anyone knows where I can find episodes of Whizziwig? It was a very popular childrens book that was on tv around 1997.
It was about an alien that crashed his spaceship in this boys back garden. He was granted wishes. The boy used to take him to school in his bag and Whizziwig caused him a few problems!
Also, Id love to find Aquila. I think this was around the same time. It was about a spaceship that turned invisible. 2 boys used to travel around in it.
My son loved these programmes and now his birthday is coming up, Id really love to find them for him again.

I am trying to find a program that was shown between 1970-1975, possibly for only one season, probably on a Friday or Saturday night as I seem to remember it was on late (school time of
life!!). My vague recollections make me think it was a BBC program because of the cheap indoor sets (BBC 2) but, contradictory, ITV haunts my memory. Possibly after 9 O'clock, probably after
10.
I think it was set in Imperial China or Japan, in 14/15/16 Century and I have the image of one man advising another with wise, Confucius thoughts and maxims. Filmed in the studio with cliché
Chinois props and I think a pool with a bridge across and possibly at night (I seem to remember a big moon). I doubt whether it will ever be released on DVD but I'd love to see it again as
it obviously made an impression on me.
Cheers

I have strong memories of a TV programme I watched in the seventies that no-one else seems to remember!!
I think a family moved/lived in a big house and was give a music box/or drum when played or opened would play African drums and they would be transported back in time to when another family
lived there with servants 100 years or more in the past, the servants were African.
Did this programme exist or is it just my overactive imagination.
Hope you can help.

Hi I'm trying to find an old childrens programme from the 80's, it had a "doctor who" like character possibly John Pertwee, who could travel around in a small black and white striped box
with his two sidekicks, usually 1 boy 1 girl, however they had to shrink themselves down to fit in the box by saying the phrase "In the box,Out the box 123". This has been driving me nuts
for years as nobody seems to remember it, please help. Many thanks... |
Response I think the
programme you are referring to is a children's maths teaching series called MATHS-IN-A-BOX (1979). The strangely dressed maths man was called Powka, played by Eugene Geasley. The two
children, aged about 10, were Tracey (Melissa Wilks) and Paul (Clark Flanagan). The catch-phrase to transport themselves was 'Tikky-tikki-tox, into the box'. |

Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone can remember this TV programme, but I would be extremely grateful if someone does.
I believe it was shown on BBC TV either in the late 1970's or more likely the early 1980's and it was about an hour long. I'm not sure but I think it was shown after 22.00 and I seem to
remember it being on one Christmas.
It was about an oldish man living alone in a cottage/croft, possibly in Scotland who was visited by a young woman. I can't remember the details of the story, but the main point of the story
was that when the woman left, the man discovered she had died some time before and was therefore a ghost.
I would love to know more about the programme, not least because it was a favourite of my late Grandfather.
Thank you very much.

Hi, please can you help me?
I am trying to find out the name or possibly a copy of a film/tv play from the late 70's about a women who murdered her husband, so she could you go off with her lover and her dead husbands
money. She was sent to prison and became friends with the undertaker who made the coffins there. She threatened him about something, and he told her when she heard the next bell ring (this
was to let the prisoners know someone had died) to go and get into the coffin of the person who had died, and he would buried her and dig her up again after the service was over. She did
this, but while she was waiting for him to turn up she lit a match and found out that the body in the coffin was him, the undertaker, and it ended by her screaming.
This may have been a Hammer House of Horror or Alfred Hitchcock production, but I can't find it anywhere.

machine or it was a machine to travel at light-speed (don't clearly remember) and it was mostly travelled by kids. they had a kind of crown on their head to actually run the machine( that's

Any episode will do from this series as me and a friend cannot for the life of us remember the name of the programme, but are totally convinced we did not make it up :)
What we can remember of it it that was set under a bed and included characters such as a hot water bottle, who, I might add, walked in a very creepy manner! and also who I remember
to be a girl, an elephant, a talking accordian and my friend also remembers a toy truck.
Our guess to the years that it was broadcast but have been around 93-94, but we cannot be totally sure.
If you could get back to us with any information, and (possibly) an episode we would greatly appreciate it!!
Thanks!!!

Hello all
I wonder if anybody remembers a British children's play about a little mixed-race boy who finds a stray cat in an old oven in a garage. It was aired over Christmas in the very early 70s and
I remember crying when these bigger boys stole the lad's transistor radio and then threw the puss under a van! The cat survived thank god and somebody bought it to him with a bandaged paw at
the end. The play had very little dialogue and I remember the music Jingle Bells playing. Hope you can help me, beginning to think I imagined it!

Hi there I am trying to remember the name of a British TV show or episode that aired on the ABC (Australia) in the late 80's or early 90's. The show played through the day and it was about a
family who moved to house that was haunted. It wasn't a typical haunting - the ghost was a crying woman and she could be heard through the electrical equipment in the house. Her face could
be seen on the family TV and in the end the family discovered it was their power generator that was haunted.
I seem to remember seeing other shows that told scary stories so it may have been part of a ghost story series. Another show which I think was in the series told the story of an animal that
sought revenge on a hunter who cut off its tail. I remember watching these shows as a child with my mother and when I ask her about she calls it "Middle English" but other internet searches
turn up nothing for that.
Thanks. |

Hi,
I'm looking for a tv miniseries from the late 1990's on satellite TV (Sky One I think, but im not too sure)...it starred some teenagers travelling in a spaceship of some kind looking for
some crystals. I don't quite remember why, but I do remember some alien worms that ate metal and attempted to eat the ship, and there was an ally who actually turned out to be a bad guy at
the end. I know it sounds remarkably like the Doctor Who Key to Time series, but its something completely different. I seem to remember some kind of toytown also being involved, but I'm not

i'm looking for an english children's t.v. show in the early eighties.
a boy and girl are able to travel through different dimensions and in some episodes they are able to freeze time around them.
at least that happened in a climactic episode.
the kids always seemed to be helped by an adult or a couple of adults while at the same time being hounded through different dimensions by some evil guy.
i'm pretty sure it was on' i.t.v.' and it wasn't the show 'timeslip'.
i think the beginning of the show was the stars against the night sky with a short explanation of the time/dimension travel rules.
please help - it's been driving me crazy.
all the best,

I remember there were a couple of children who kicked a football into a neglected church and broke a window. They ventured inside to retrieve it, and whenever they touched a pillar or wall,
there would be a simultaneous shot of their finger-marks appearing in a rock in a field in another world.
I also remember a black knight who appeared in the 'other' world. I know it's not much to go on but it's all I can remember. This has been bugging me for ages!

I’m after any info on a series from my childhood. In the early 70’s I think it was the BBC that ran a series of the Last of the Mohicans. There is info about this on the
web but I have never tracked down any episodes on video
Help on any of these would be appreciated

Hi, I am looking to get hold of a copy of an epsiode from 'Dating the Enemy',
broadcast on ITV within the past year.
The episode featured a glamour model type southern girl, being matched with a northern DJ (Leeds, I think)
Can anyone please help?

Hi,
I am looking for a childrens series from the late 70"s. It was called come back Lucy. It was based on a novel by Pam Sykes.
It was about a girl called Lucy who goes to stay with her Aunt. Everytime she looks in a mirror, or a anywhere she would expect to see her reflection, she would see a ghost of a girl called
Alice looking back at her. One bit that sticks in my mind is when she tries to walk across a frozen pond, but the ice breaks and she sees the girls face in the reflection.

Unfortunately, Come Back Lucy is not available on either video or DVD. I have made my own enquiries with ITV and they tell me that may be possible to purchase
from them copies of the master tape, for £100 per episode; there were 6 episodes in total so it would cost £600 in all. |

This is a long shot as my memory is very hazy on this. I remember a Children's TV series from the mid to late 1970's. It involved a young girl approximately 10 years of age and there was a
female ghost in her attic. The ghost was roughly the same age as she was, but wore old fashioned clothing, and I think there was a rocking horse in the attic. I remember the ghost girl was a
bit malicious. I seem to remember her kicking or throwing the girl out of the top window...
I don't remember much about it, and I've been racking my brain for years and then came across your site. If anyone knows what the programme was called I'd be very grate. I think it was on
about the same timescale as Children of the stones...
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

The programme you mention is called "Come Back Lucy" and was shown in 1978. It starred Emma Bakhl as Lucy. The ghost was named Alice. It is based on the book of
the same name by Pamela Sykes. Unfortunately, it cannot be obtained on either video or DVD. I am myself very keen to see it again and a couple of years ago made enquiries of ITV who informed
me that it may be possible to purchase a copy of the series taken from the master tape but that it would be at a cost of £100 per episode; there were 6 episodes in all bringing the cost to a
grand total of £600. It would be so much easier (and cheaper) if they released the DVD! There have been so many enquiries about this particular series that I am sure there would be a lot of
interest in it. I think there should be a campaign launched to get it released! |

Hi
I have been searching for a copy of a TV Pro-Celebrity Driving challenge in which my father appeared. It is from around 1981-83 era & was presented by Brough
Scott (horse racing personality) & starred the then 'Doctor Who' Peter Davidson,Suzanne Danielle (now Mrs Sam Torrance) Derek 'Tommo' Thompson (racing commentator) & I think Sally James from
Tiswas among others maybe.
The contestants along with their celebrity partners undertook a series of driving challenges one of which included a tank driving challenge. This was where my Dad
appeared as he was at the time in charge of the simulator at the camp we were based at,Bovington in Dorset. His name was Norman Peace & he was ranked a Sergeant.
My Dad helped the contestants take a test in this simulator & my reason for asking is that he passed away earlier this year & I am trying to find a copy for my
Mother ( & me & my sisters) so we have a little keepsake of our Dad as we have no other 'living' footage of him ( he was always behind the camcorder!).
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely ( & hopefully)
Tony Peace
