Season1
- My Late Lamented Friend and Partner
Jeff Randall and Marty
Hopkirk are private detectives. They are partners
and friends in their own agency until Marty is
run over and killed. Jeff believes it was an
accident that is until he gets a phone call from
his dead partner
Marty has come back as a
ghost and insists that he was murdered and he
wants Jeff to see that justice is done!
- A Disturbing Case
Marty's wife Jean and
her sister Jenny are visiting Jeff when they
notice that he seems to spend a lot of time
talking to 'himself'. They insists he goes to the
Lambert Nursing Clinic, however while under
treatment from Doctor Conrad he is hypnotised,
and it is left to Marty to save the day
- All Work and No
Pay
Poor Jean is plagued by
a poltergeist. She is convinced that it is
Marty's ghost trying to get in touch with her and
hires suspicious spiritualists the Foster
Brothers to try to establish contact.

Ghost
Wandering the streets
of London one night Marty witnesses a man,
Howarth, being shot dead in his home. Jeff
summons the police but Howarth appears alive and
well... Marty, however, is unconvinced.

Snowballs
A Russian roulette act
at a music hall goes horribly wrong when the mind
reader is shot dead in front of the audience
including Jeff and Marty! Special Guest Star:
David Jason.
- Just for the

Jeff and Jean act as
escorts at an international beauty contest.
During a sight-seeing tour Marty's suspicions are
aroused by Miss London's odd behaviour.
- Murder Ain't What
It Used to Be!
Marty has a
ghostly rival, Bugsy, a gangster who met his
demise in the Roaring Twenties. Not only does he
have a repertoire of better tricks, he is also
out to kill one of Jeff's clients.
- Whoever Heard of a
Ghost Dying?
A criminal
master mind and his clairvoyant, co-conspirator,
discover the reason for Randall's recent success
at detection - the late Marty Hopkirk. They plot
to make the duo fall guys for robberies and even
try to exorcise poor Marty!

Haunted Hill
It's a case
for Marty when Jeff is asked to investigate the
mystery of a "haunted house". It's just
as well as Jeff is preoccupied with solving a
diamond robbery.

The day
Randall and Hopkirk have been dreading has
arrived. Jeff can no longer see or hear his
ghostly partner. To Marty's consternation Jeff
doesn't even appear to be bothered by this!

Marty's aunt
perfects a winning gambling system in Monte
Carlo, placing her at risk from ruthless crooks.

A wealthy
woman starts to believe her castle is haunted and
is also upset by her husband's regular absences.
Jeff and Marty are called in to investigate.

After the
suspected death of a client, Marty helps Jeff
expose a phoney medium, who makes clients believe
she can vcontact the deceased.

Robin?
Jeff is hired
to guard an aviary of birds linked to a valuable
estate. The birds start to be killed off one by
one, and all surving relatives are now suspects.

Marty becomes
alarmed when Jean gets involved with a man
claiming to be the reincarnation of the deceased
Marty himself.

Interesting
developments occur when Marty discovers that a
criminal posing as a New York detective can see
and hear him when he is drunk.

Walked over my Grave
Marty
materialises beside his grave one night to find
someone digging in it! He summons Jeff, who
arrives to see a man dressed in 18th century
garb.

Jean Hopkirk
is held hostage to stop her giving evidence in a
murder case where the victim is found in Jeff's
car and not even the ghostly Marty can find her.
