Nichola McAuliffe gives a memorable performance as Sheila Sabatini, with Duncan Preston starring alongside her as Jonathan Haslam. Surgical Spirit was a huge success with the viewing public, running for seven series between 1989 and 1995. This complete fourth series was originally screened in 1992. The Mating Game Sheila's a free woman following her divorce - but free doesn't necessarily mean easy. Joyce's Little Turn Two events cause alarm at the hospital: drugs vanish, and Haslam threatens to sing! The Son Also Rises Sheila's son makes a discomfiting announcement about his half-term holiday plans. Oh Happy Day! Sheila and Jonathan's developing romance has the whole hospital buzzing. The Fence Sheila's home is burgled, then a few of her possessions turn up at the hospital... Wanderlust Sheila is invited to lecture in Australia, but not everybody wants her to go.
