Hi,
I am searching for episodes of 'Whatever Happened To Robot Jones?', a short-lived US cartoon aired in the UK in 2004.
It aired on Cartoon Network; there are only 2 seasons and 13 episodes/26 shorts (excluding the pilot)
It's a long-lost show, so if you can't find it I'll understand.
Thanks in advance! |

I'm looking for an old children's TV program with a woman who holds up a mirror and names the children she sees in it. Everyone would wait to hear their name. "I see Tommy and Susan. I see
Nancy. I see Jane..." Does anyone remember the name of that show? |
The woman holding up the mirror was Miss Rosalind in Anglia TV's 'Romper Room' which aired in the
60s. |

Can anyone remember a (I think) British kids tv show, I remember it was NOT animated and involved kids with (Medieval?) artefacts, a stone circle like
stonehenge (not children of the stone) which featured the ghost of a drummer boy and a ghost who was after the kids and the artefacts that “sniffed” low posture a Gollum like creature but in
black armour and a weird helmet with a snout like mask. Any answers would be GREATLY appreciated. |

I have been asking everyone I know if they can remember this TV show…and I have gotten “The Equalizer”, “The Guardian”, “Hack” and these are not the show..
The show stared an Italian actor..who was middle age, average weight, dark longish hair, soft spoken, wore a long black coat and helped people in need who had no means to pay or no one to
turn to. He spent much time in a Italian Restaurant and he might have had mob connections. The show always ended with him giving a good moral to the show and walking down a back dark alley
at the end of every show. It maybe lasted for 4 or 6 weeks. It would have been in the mid to late 90’s.
That is about all I can remember about the show. Any help you can give me would be great.
Thanks,

I know this is not very much information but finding this show has drove me crazy for years. I am looking for a non animated children's show form the 70s. I know it was on very early in the

go home. Thank you for your help. |

Play for Today?
Am looking to find the title of a tv play I saw early 1980's. The story was about a man throwing a cocktail party and he had quite a few guests. During the party the host kept looking
for/calling his dog, but it seemed like he'd imagined it as we (the viewers) never saw it. At the end it turned out it was the guests he had 'dreamed' up and that the dog was actually the
only friend he had.
It's been suggested it may have been a "Play For Today" episode, but I've really no idea. Hope someone can help - Please! thanks in advance. |

Hi,
Wonder if anyone can remember a sci-fi series from the early 70’s. I can’t remember much but I think it was Australian. The baddie used to go into a cave where he spoke to his computer which
was in the shape of two pillars that had human faces that lit up as they spoke. I seem to think they had covers over their faces that he pulled off to talk to them. I have searched for
Australian sci-fi and nothing. It is only at the very edge of my memory so is a bit vague to say the least.
Thanks. |

woke up in his son’s boat. The 2 sons were always trying to get rid of the wife/girlfriend because they knew if the father died she would get the boat (which they lived on). It was a funny

Hi I'm searching for the title (and any other details and maybe even the episode) of a 1990's arty meditation on (male) science from a political feminist viewpoint. As I remember it, it was
on early hours of the morning (although it may have been a repeat). The nature of it was dreamy and arty and featured a deadpan female voiceover intoning remarks like "The true sense of the
present tense..." and "In the city of money.. interest is impatience crystallised". Also remarks were made (over nuclear blast footage) about the first bomb being called "Little Boy' and the
plane that dropped it was nicknamed after the pilot's mother.
Any help hugely appreciated

Hi,
For years I’ve been trying to track down a children’s programme which I’m 99% certain was broadcast by the BBC circa 1983/4/5. The story was adapted from the book which I’d also read as a
child....but for the life of me can’t remember the name! The story revolves around a girl and her family who move into a Victorian house. The girl then starts seeing visions of a Victorian
girl of the same age, in mirrors around the house, I’m sure her name is Abigail...the modern day girl is sometimes transported back to Victorian times with the girl. I also remember a scene
where the girl looks over a bridge and sees the Victorian girl’s reflection in the river- it turns out she drowned. This programme really scared me as a child, and I’d dearly love to know
what on earth it was called!

Hi
I have been searching for a copy of a TV Pro-Celebrity Driving challenge in which my father appeared. It is from around 1981-83 era & was presented by Brough
Scott (horse racing personality) & starred the then 'Doctor Who' Peter Davidson,Suzanne Danielle (now Mrs Sam Torrance) Derek 'Tommo' Thompson (racing commentator) & I think Sally James from
Tiswas among others maybe.
The contestants along with their celebrity partners undertook a series of driving challenges one of which included a tank driving challenge. This was where my Dad
appeared as he was at the time in charge of the simulator at the camp we were based at,Bovington in Dorset. His name was Norman Peace & he was ranked a Sergeant.
My Dad helped the contestants take a test in this simulator & my reason for asking is that he passed away earlier this year & I am trying to find a copy for my
Mother ( & me & my sisters) so we have a little keepsake of our Dad as we have no other 'living' footage of him ( he was always behind the camcorder!).
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely ( & hopefully)

Hello,
I hope you can help me with a memory that is driving me crazy! I remember watching a programme when I was a teenager, probably late 60's, early 70's, about a group of children. The program
was set on an island, I think in the north Atlantic. One of the characters was a popular adult actor called Sam something. I remember him talking about 'karma'. He was quite old in the
series, probably 50 or so, a very 'lived in' face, if you know what I mean!
I know this is rather disjointed and not really a lot of information, but I would be very grateful if you could help.

It was an educational cartoon that showed different stages in history in each episode and had the same 3 characters though the ages...Stone age, Iron age, Bronze age, etc..
The main theme tune was classical organ music (I think toccata and fugue in D minor) and The Earth was spinning while the music played. |

Back in the late 70's or 80's there was an excellent 6 to 8 (I think) part drama series made in Scotland

Trying to find a drama series or one off film with the following characteristics:
A miniature spacecraft has landed in a block of houses. It has seeds on board which grow human shapes. We don't see this part, this happened some time previously and no one knew about it.
Film/series starts with a view from the front of a garden miniature railway - which goes through several of the gardens - it collides with a body
It turns out that the body cannot be recognised. Its one of those grown from seeds from spacecraft -- though the police don't know this at the time.
In one house is a Camera Obscura and the man in the house is showing his girl friend how it works, while lying on the bed. Incidentally this man has also persuaded his girlfriend to take an
AIDs test. She thinks he has also had an AIDs test -- but he hasn't had one (since I think he is one of the successfully grown men from the space craft) When the results come through to the
house she realises at some point that he has not had an AIDs test and is annoyed. Lets call him man A.
Later on another body turns up in one of the gardens.
There is also a scene where one of the seeds has grown the outline of a human body on a bed. This is made of roots grown into the shape of a body. When discovered the man (who I think is man
A) destroys the body.
At the end of the film/series is shown the miniature space craft is shown taking off from the house window sill.
I think it was a series, but it could be a one off drama. I think it was in the 90's
Can anyone help ?

Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone can remember this TV programme, but I would be extremely grateful if someone does.
I believe it was shown on BBC TV either in the late 1970's or more likely the early 1980's and it was about an hour long. I'm not sure but I think it was shown after 22.00 and I seem to
remember it being on one Christmas.
It was about an oldish man living alone in a cottage/croft, possibly in Scotland who was visited by a young woman. I can't remember the details of the story, but the main point of the story
was that when the woman left, the man discovered she had died some time before and was therefore a ghost.
I would love to know more about the programme, not least because it was a favourite of my late Grandfather.
Thank you very much.

This was a kids show in the late 80 early 90's. It had people dressed as animal characters. There was for sure a lion and a bear and I think there was a mouse. In Saskatoon Canada it was on
at 7 in the morning. What are the possibilities of the name of this show? |

Hiya,
'Tricky one this, given the age of it. I am looking for an edition of the Wednesday Play, aired in March 1965, called 'Horror of Darkness'. It starred Alfred Lynch and Glenda Jackson, and I
know it is one of the episodes that still exists. The BFI has a copy, but I can't exactly hop on a bus and go and see it, living in NE Scotland.
Good luck! |

Hi there
This is just to stop me going mad.
I can remember a children's TV series in the 70's (at least that was when it screened in the UK) which starred a sea lion, and was based either in Florida or the Caribbean. I can't for the
life of me remember either the name of the series or the sea lion.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks

Hi,
I am looking for information on what I think was an Open University episode, screened probably in 1979. The content was very strange indeed and I must explain that it sparked off a 25-year
phobia in me, which has resulted in many years of anxiety attacks and subsequent therapies. Please don't delete this as a crank email; I am genuinely trying to find out what the heck this
was all about at the time, in order to "close a loop" and help me deal with my phobia!
I seem to remember it was shown in the late afternoon or early evening, and all I remember was a blue studio setting, with no props or other objects. A man with a straggly 1970s "hippy"
beard and unkempt blond hair came into view, dressed in blue jeans and a shirt. He stood there for a minute and then bent over and started to vomit. He was sick several times. I don't
remember anything after that except it made me feel very shaky watching this, and I went and told my mother (I was about 10 years old at the time).
I would be very interested to source this clip, as maybe to know more about it after all these years could really help me and see that it wasn't so scary after all. Are you able to offer any
information or point me in any relevant direction?
Sorry for the weirdness. I'd appreciate any help.
Erika Simmonds |
Response Although it's possible that this was a real OU broadcast
relating to alcohol/drugs/illness or something, I have my doubts. The OU is very particular about the quality of its television transmissions.... I read this and wondered if what was
actually seen by young Erika at the time was part of a Kenny Everett zany 2 minute sketch as she may have flicked over the channels on the TV.... I recall the OU attracting interest from
some comedians in those years - one I remember was about an Al Fresco lecture from the OU given "out here in the open..." etc.
Kenny Everett did have a weird and crazy brand of humour, which I found unsettling at times. I can easily see how a 10 year old might not see a funny side at all and get the heebeegeebees
instead. I wasn't a particular fan of his then, and I'm certainly not an expert in his sketches, but it's a possible explanation. I thought I'd post this as I wonder if the answer for Erika
may lie in the archives of late 1970's comedy footage rather than at the OU! |

went back to the past. There were more than 2 kids. There is a scene where they meet a young Victorian girl who tells them her name and she has lots of Christian names. I think she is meant
to be royal or aristocratic. She seems to be having a picnic on her own. One of the boys from the present fancies her and pretends he has lots of Christian names, to try to impress her. Then
he forgets his names, and she thinks he's an idiot! That's all I remember. Anyone?

Hi, I'm trying to remember the name of a two- part thriller that was on
TV, back between 7 - 21 December 1991. It was American, and it was about a
married couple. He was a doctor and was totally sadistic, although his wife
was unaware of this until after they were married. I can remember a scene,
in which she is swimming in a lake and a crocodile appears behind her. Her
husband notices but says nothing and carries on watching until the
crocodile is really close to her, and then tells her to look behind and
swim for her life! There are several incidents like this, of mental, as
well as physical cruelty. However, she doesn't leave him until she
discovers he has been giving their baby small doses of poison (not enough
to kill. but enough to make him very sick) That is when she has to plan to
escape with the baby. I seem to remember it was on-the-edge-of-your-seat
stuff! If anyone knows and can tell me what the title of this movie is, I
would be very grateful! Thanks! |

Hello,
I'm after a documentary series from the 70s where several families tried to live in the way people would have done in a certain period of history. That might have been something like
medieval times, as I think they lived in simple structures, built with wattle and daub, used plant dyes, and used only simple tools etc. I remember a dilemma about whether they should use
modern medicine when one of their children was ill. I'm pretty sure it was a BBC series, but have no idea what it was called.
Thanks,

I wondered if anyone knows where I can find episodes of Whizziwig? It was a very popular childrens book that was on tv around 1997.
It was about an alien that crashed his spaceship in this boys back garden. He was granted wishes. The boy used to take him to school in his bag and Whizziwig caused him a few problems!
Also, Id love to find Aquila. I think this was around the same time. It was about a spaceship that turned invisible. 2 boys used to travel around in it.

I am trying to find a program that was shown between 1970-1975, possibly for only one season, probably on a Friday or Saturday night as I seem to remember it was on late (school time of
life!!). My vague recollections make me think it was a BBC program because of the cheap indoor sets (BBC 2) but, contradictory, ITV haunts my memory. Possibly after 9 O'clock, probably after
10.
I think it was set in Imperial China or Japan, in 14/15/16 Century and I have the image of one man advising another with wise, Confucius thoughts and maxims. Filmed in the studio with cliché
Chinois props and I think a pool with a bridge across and possibly at night (I seem to remember a big moon). I doubt whether it will ever be released on DVD but I'd love to see it again as
it obviously made an impression on me.
Cheers

Response I think the
programme you are referring to is a children's maths teaching series called MATHS-IN-A-BOX (1979). The strangely dressed maths man was called Powka, played by Eugene Geasley. The two
children, aged about 10, were Tracey (Melissa Wilks) and Paul (Clark Flanagan). The catch-phrase to transport themselves was 'Tikky-tikki-tox, into the box'. |

I am trying to find out the name or possibly a copy of a film/tv play from the late 70's about a women who murdered her husband, so she could you go off with her lover and her dead husbands
money. She was sent to prison and became friends with the undertaker who made the coffins there. She threatened him about something, and he told her when she heard the next bell ring (this
was to let the prisoners know someone had died) to go and get into the coffin of the person who had died, and he would buried her and dig her up again after the service was over. She did
this, but while she was waiting for him to turn up she lit a match and found out that the body in the coffin was him, the undertaker, and it ended by her screaming.
This may have been a Hammer House of Horror or Alfred Hitchcock production, but I can't find it anywhere.

Hello all
I wonder if anybody remembers a British children's play about a little mixed-race boy who finds a stray cat in an old oven in a garage. It was aired over Christmas in the very early 70s and
I remember crying when these bigger boys stole the lad's transistor radio and then threw the puss under a van! The cat survived thank god and somebody bought it to him with a bandaged paw at
the end. The play had very little dialogue and I remember the music Jingle Bells playing. Hope you can help me, beginning to think I imagined it!

Hi there I am trying to remember the name of a British TV show or episode that aired on the ABC (Australia) in the late 80's or early 90's. The show played through the day and it was about a
family who moved to house that was haunted. It wasn't a typical haunting - the ghost was a crying woman and she could be heard through the electrical equipment in the house. Her face could
be seen on the family TV and in the end the family discovered it was their power generator that was haunted.
I seem to remember seeing other shows that told scary stories so it may have been part of a ghost story series. Another show which I think was in the series told the story of an animal that
sought revenge on a hunter who cut off its tail. I remember watching these shows as a child with my mother and when I ask her about she calls it "Middle English" but other internet searches
turn up nothing for that.
Thanks. |

Hi,
I'm looking for a tv miniseries from the late 1990's on satellite TV (Sky One I think, but im not too sure)...it starred some teenagers travelling in a spaceship of some kind looking for
some crystals. I don't quite remember why, but I do remember some alien worms that ate metal and attempted to eat the ship, and there was an ally who actually turned out to be a bad guy at
the end. I know it sounds remarkably like the Doctor Who Key to Time series, but its something completely different. I seem to remember some kind of toytown also being involved, but I'm not
to sure about that...

i'm looking for an english children's t.v. show in the early eighties.
a boy and girl are able to travel through different dimensions and in some episodes they are able to freeze time around them.
at least that happened in a climactic episode.
the kids always seemed to be helped by an adult or a couple of adults while at the same time being hounded through different dimensions by some evil guy.
i'm pretty sure it was on' i.t.v.' and it wasn't the show 'timeslip'.
i think the beginning of the show was the stars against the night sky with a short explanation of the time/dimension travel rules.
please help - it's been driving me crazy.
all the best,
linus.

Hi there! I remember a programme must have been late 70's early 80's. There was a group of kids on a quest and it had a medieval slant. I think there was magic, the main thing I remember
was the white knight, who appeared at moments of great danger and shone at night. Could someone please help? What is the name of the series and could I get my hands on it now?

Hi,
I am looking for a childrens series from the late 70"s. It was called come back Lucy. It was based on a novel by Pam Sykes.
It was about a girl called Lucy who goes to stay with her Aunt. Everytime she looks in a mirror, or a anywhere she would expect to see her reflection, she would see a ghost of a girl called
Alice looking back at her. One bit that sticks in my mind is when she tries to walk across a frozen pond, but the ice breaks and she sees the girls face in the reflection.
|
Response
Unfortunately, Come Back Lucy is not available on either video or DVD. I have made my own enquiries with ITV and they tell me that may be possible to purchase
from them copies of the master tape, for £100 per episode; there were 6 episodes in total so it would cost £600 in all. |

This is a long shot as my memory is very hazy on this. I remember a Children's TV series from the mid to late 1970's. It involved a young girl approximately 10 years of age and there was a
female ghost in her attic. The ghost was roughly the same age as she was, but wore old fashioned clothing, and I think there was a rocking horse in the attic. I remember the ghost girl was a
bit malicious. I seem to remember her kicking or throwing the girl out of the top window...
I don't remember much about it, and I've been racking my brain for years and then came across your site. If anyone knows what the programme was called I'd be very grate. I think it was on
about the same timescale as Children of the stones...
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

The programme you mention is called "Come Back Lucy" and was shown in 1978. It starred Emma Bakhl as Lucy. The ghost was named Alice. It is based on the book of
the same name by Pamela Sykes. Unfortunately, it cannot be obtained on either video or DVD. I am myself very keen to see it again and a couple of years ago made enquiries of ITV who informed
me that it may be possible to purchase a copy of the series taken from the master tape but that it would be at a cost of £100 per episode; there were 6 episodes in all bringing the cost to a
grand total of £600. It would be so much easier (and cheaper) if they released the DVD! There have been so many enquiries about this particular series that I am sure there would be a lot of
interest in it. I think there should be a campaign launched to get it released! |

jag or rover/triumph which gets vandalized due to some roguish affair. He is building a house in the home counties. In spite of my uninspiring description it was a great series and I would

Hello - I'm hoping you might save my sanity!
I remember watching a childrens show about 30 years ago called Toys In The Attic - I believe it was presented by BBC stalwart
Gabriel Woolf. There was a puppet character called 'Mocha', and I think it was filmed in black and white. The show may possibly have been made at the
tail end of the 60's.
I can't find any evidence of the show, and now I'm beginning to wonder whether I dreamt the whole thing! My mother thankfully does remember, but I'd love to see some images of the show.
I really hope you can help out with this request, seeing as even the mighty web seems unable to.
Kind regards,
Marco Federici

Hi there.
I am looking to restore a couple of tv related memories from my childhood ... firstly, I remember watching a tv series early-mid '60s featuring a character called "Captain Zeppo" (maybe the
series was called this). I think he was a spy or adventurer and seem to recall that he wore a beret. Maybe this was either a European Import or it was based in Europe rather than the UK -
for some reason Switzerland springs to mind, but as to whether it was a Swiss programme or (more likely) I'm just remembering an episode set in Switzerland I'm not sure.
Secondly there was a sci-fi progeamme from around the same era. Although my mind is hazy on this I do remember one thing about it - the theme tune was Acker Bilk's "Stranger on the Shore".
It involved kids and a flying saucer that I think had landed on Earth. It might even have been called "Stranger on the Shore" or "Strangers" or some such like.
Any info on either series gratefully received - pointers/links to dvds, videos, characters, storylines, reviews, actors (or theme tune in the case of Captain Zeppo) etc etc.
Thanks, Craig B.

Hi There
I am trying to located a copy of the Russ Abbott’s Madhouse – Hogmanay (New Year) Special
from around the early 1980’s.
It was a 1.5 hour special (I think) and was set in Inver-cock-a-leekie Castle, the
ancestoral home of Russ’s character Jimmy McJimmy. Jimmy hosted the entire programme.
It also starred the usual Madhouse crew; Bella Emberg, Sherie Hewson, Suzie Blake, Jeffrey
Holland, and Michael Barrymore, who all played Jimmy’s extended family.
I did contact LWT and they said that they had previously been able to supply a copy, but
more recently, due to the events in Michael Barrymore’s life over recent years, the authorities have placed a ban on them releasing it, or anything else starring him.
Hopefully someone can help.

This is not a TV Episode, but a Movie request, so I hope you will still be
able to help.
I am trying to find out the name of a film that I saw on TV in the UK many
years ago (early 1970's I think).
Although I seem to think Sid James was in it, I cannot remember for sure (but
the film was in his style of comedy). I can't remember any of the other actors either as it was so long ago. The only details I remember are that it was based in a country town or
village, and was some kind of comedy murder mystery. The local church bells were of some significance (I think they rang every time there was a murder). Also of some significance were
ferrets (for some strange reason), which tended to crop up in the script quite a number of times.
I am sorry that my information is so vague, but as I say it was probably over
30 years ago, and I was only around 6 or 7 at the time.
I have always been curious to see this film again, and I am hoping that
someone can help me by at least providing a name.
Thank you for your assistance in this.

Hi,
I can't remember the title of a TV show. I'm looking for it for several years with no luck.
The TV show was from the 80s, was made in the UK with real people (not animated characters). It was about a boy who was searching for a magic golden statue (the statue was small, and it had
an angry face and it remembered me like the totems the Indian people had but in small size).
I've a flashback from one chapter where at the end of the chapter the boy couldn't find the statue and we
can see a ship that transports it to another place (it seemed like the statue could move itself without we
noticed the movement). Do you have any idea of which british TV show could be?
Thanks in advance.
Daniel.

Hi,
I'm trying to find out the name of a cartoon that the BBC showed in the 80's. I think it may have been Japanese and was a feature rather than a series. All I can
remember about it is that it involved a boy who may have been lost and at the end of the feature, just before getting rescued and taken away in a space ship, some flying creatures attack him
and pull some of his hair out!?
There was also some sort of horse like creature that dies halfway through the film. I've been trying to find it for years because it terrified me as a child! Hope
someone can help!!
Thanks!!

Hello, I'm desperate for some help! I remember seeing a programme as a child which terrified
me. It was on during the day, so I thought it would probably be one of the "Look and Read" stories, but having looked down that line I don't think it is. All I can remember is a girl
looking up at a huge dead tree, which possibly bled. The girl was frightened and it was a very eerie scene. It would have been during the early 80s.
Any help would be appreciated! Many thanks,

Hi
I remember a program from my childhood, probably around in the 70's or early
80's? Somehow I think it was a "Tales of the Unexpected" type of story. It
is very vivid and I remember the brief outline of the story. I remember a
couple drive to a small town and the crux of the story is that they are
trying to escape for some reason, in their car. Every road they drive down
in the town leads back into the town, I remember they try different roads
each time. But it's like a maze that always leads back to the town.
I know this is very vague, but I wish I knew what this was? Can you help?
Thanks

Do you remember the ITV series for kids which were horror/ghost stories. Was on approx 4.30pm. If memory serves me, the intro had cartoon silouetes of, I think, a rocking
chair with a person in it but the shadow was of an empty chair and a girl also skipping and her shadow was standing still ( or visa
versa)and 2 or 3 other things. The stories were of varying quality. One episode had Brian Glover in it and the house was attacked by a big plant. Another featured a tapestry, one of the
figures in it was a woman in black called Plague. The hero was a boy and his adventure mirrored the events of
the tapestry. Would be great if you remember it too.
All the best,
Darren

Def 'Shadows' as I remember this series too. The Brian Glover story sticks out, as does the one with the school kids stuck in the school room at night, with that skull...and the one with the
kid and grandpa(?) with the Lee Enfield rifle....
Shadows was the ghost series on ITV in the late seventies
There was one called. "SHADOWS" from the early eighties.
There was also "DRAMARAMA - SPOOKY" that may have been later.
Are you afraid of the dark? Goosebumps Anybody know which
one it is? |

Hi; Does anyone on this list remember a late 1980's I.T.V mini-series called something like "rules of engagement"?
It comprised of about 4 episodes(?). It featured the story of a political crisis that very nearly results in a nuclear attack on the U.K (probably by the Russians - but I could be wrong,
here). The back-story was about a researcher who is made pregnant by a politican, who somehow gets on the wrong side of him and is murdered. A journalist attempts to follow this story as
the clouds of a nuclear attack on the U.K gather. The U.K is saved at the last moment and things go back to normal (I think by episode 3).
I am interested in nuclear war-based T.V dramas made during the 1970's-1990's; hence my interest in this programme. I have made extensive searches for any details of it on the Internet
but have never found a single reference to it (unlike other programmes, such as "Threads").
Does anyone have a copy of this, or know where I could get one? Even further details on it would help. I don't remember any of the actors in it - the journalist may have been played by
Cathy Tyson, or (more likely) someone like her(!). In the story she had an ex-boyfriend or husband who was in the SAS. The Political researcher was a tallish, dark-haired woman. The
politicans were all typical grey-haired Tories! One notable feature of the story is that in one scene they used encoded personal pocket organisers to display a classified message.
Hoping someone can help - but I doubt it. This one has totally dissapearred from memory, it seems...
Robert.

Just to add to Roberts thoughts on The Long Chase. I most certainly do remember it ! The series was repeated at least once and had a very distictive theme tune
where the previous episodes cliffhanger was repeated and then freeze-framed whilst the theme played....when the music stopped the action continued and of course everything was not too bad
for our heroes. I have written to various magazines requesting this (and another series called 'Mandog') to be released commercially, or be shown again on TV all to no avail. Will it ever
see the light of day again ?

hi! - I am looking for a one-off BBC2 drama shown at Christmas 1981
and then repeated Christmas 1982. It was around 50 minutes long -
a dramatization of Leon Garfield's The Ghost Downstairs.
The story was all about a greedy clerk who agrees to give 7 years off the end of his life to his mysterious neighbour, the beetroot-soup-drinking Mr Fishbane, in exchange for all the riches
he ever dreamed
of.
But the old man takes the start of the clerk's life rather than the end, haunting
him with a ghostly seven year old in a sailor suit - himself! The show included
amazing animated figures springing to life from an illustrated tapestry & leaping
around a streetfire. I'm fairly certain this has been remade by now, but it's the
1981 version which stays firmly in my memory.

Searching for the title of a TV drama series, shown sometime in the last 10 years (I think).
Series was about the fortunes of a middle-class family between the 1950's and 1980's approximately, set mainly in the castellated house and grounds of a Victorian mansion estate.
The father was a self-made businessman (ironmongery/hardware), and was bluff, energetic, loud, vigorous and unintentionally cruel.
The mother was poetic, beautiful and increasingly exhausted by the demands of repeated pregnancies and motherhood, as the number of children grew to five or six.
There was a housekeeper and handyman living in the same property, who had a daughter who played with and grew up alongside the employer's children.
All the children grew up with emotional agonies which propagated into their adult lives. The eldest boy realised he was gay, and could not bear the father's domineering management style.
There was unemployability, breakdown, single motherhood, and finally a murder.
Can anyone help?

The Magic Playground |
I am trying to remember the name of an animated children's programme from the 70's about a boy and a dog - animated in a similar way to magic roundabout, whereby the boy seems to pop up from
location to location across the screen. Any help appreciated.

This was a TV drama shown on CBC...I think in the 70's. It was an hour or 90 minute episode telling the story of a hockey player and the bad breaks he is getting in life. He finds out that
he was born with a "caul", and that to end his misfortunes it will be necessary for him to eat the caul (someone in his family has kept it in a jar), and he goes home and does that, but in
the meantime someone has poisoned it with arsenic. There is a fire in a farmhouse at the end. A strange but beguiling story. Can anyone help or identify? Thanks

Kim & Co |
Hi I hope you can help me out here,
I'm trying to find any episodes and/or information about a children's series that was on BBC 1 in 1975 and repeated a few times after that. It was called Kim &
Co and was a co-production with a Dutch TV company. Made by Q3 London Productions. That's all I know about it, but apparently, it no longer exists in the BBC Archive.

Tiswas |
Hi, my friend and I are after any copies of Tiswas episodes and maybe even a pilot show by the same people called 'Show
me again Mister' (a sort of you've been framed of it's time). Our boss was apparently a regular child on the show as his mum worked for the company and we would love to see what he looked
like.
Thanks Caz and Tan.

Mid to late 1970s I cannot remember the name of the program, it was a weekly series. Cult childrens program. Similar to the changes about a boy and girl who hear a strange
noise and set about to find the cause within their deserted neighbourhood, and strange creatures in sheds is what I remember.
