- Moving On
When George & Mildred plan a
move to middleclass suburbia, Mildred is
anxious to impress the new neighbours, but
George would sooner be knee deep in ferrets
and pigeon droppings.
- The Bad Penny
The Ropers meet their new neighbours
and their invisible dog. George discusses
politics with their local MP.
- And Women Must Weep
George has to get a job, there's
only one snag... he isn't altogether a woman.
Mildred points out he isn't all that
masculine either.
- Baby Talk
Mildred gets broody and wonders
whether they are too old to adopt a baby. The
only alternative is "artificial
insinuation by a wassname" and George
doesn't like the sound of it.
- Your Money or Your Life
When Mildred finds out that George
only has a small endowment, she decides to do
something about it. He isn't too happy when
he realises he's worth more dead than alive.
- Where My Caravan Has Rested
The arrival of Mildred's sister,
Ethel, and her husband, Humphrey, "The
Offal King of Oxshott", leads to
problems in the bedroom. So, George trades
his car for a broken down caravan.
